Woke up at five…took taxi…rode bus…flew in plane…rode train to Hauptbahnhof station…spent three hours in the Kunsthaus Museum of Fine Art…walked around…met with my friend Moni…meandered through the city…ate a yummy polenta dinner…disco therapy. Next day I ate a yummy brunch…visited the flea market…la perla…biking…little shops…big lake…snowy mountains…it’s spring. Hills…cobblestones…sun…paprika chips…drink by the river…white walls…clean air… swans gliding…chatter…breeze...rest. Last day…homemade marmalade…chai riverside…soak in the sun…biking…rolling in the grass…lilacs…more paprika chips.

April 2008, Cadaques
This is the town where Dali lived and worked. It is mystical but sometimes the wind drives people crazy. There is a raw energy here and the land is in constant battle with the sea. I was there during the full moon and the light along with the wind was intense. Being with friends was a treat.

March 2008

Southern Spain, the home of flamenco and religious processions during Semana Santa. Rachel and I bunked at Mama Judy’s casa and it was a week of tapas, tinto verano, and good conversations. Thanks Judy!
